                    Jerry Fulton
Jerry Fulton was first called as our interim pastor in June 2011. In October 2011, we elected him to serve for an extended period as our transitional pastor. During the transitional period, Jerry, with the help of a Transition Team, will lead the church to resolve, discontinue, implement, and/or improve matters in the areas of church communication, church identity, church government, church involvement in decision making, evangelism, worship, discipleship, ministry, as well as other aspects of the church.

In addition to serving as our pastor during our time of transition, Jerry is the editor and business manager of the Baptist Progress, the official publication of the Baptist Missionary Association of Texas. A native of Mexia, Texas, he is a two-time graduate of Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas. An ordained minister, Fulton has been involved in full-time vocational ministry for 18 years. Prior to becoming editor in 2004, he served as pastor of Sheppard Drive Baptist Church, Euless, Texas; University Baptist Church, Nacogdoches, Texas; and Lost Prairie Baptist Church, Groesbeck, Texas. Fulton also served as the director of ministry development for the Texas Baptist Home for Children in Waxahachie, Texas.

Jerry is active in Baptist life having just completed his second term as president of the Baptist Missionary Association of Texas. Prior to being elected president, he served two terms as first vice president, and three non-consecutive terms as second vice president. Fulton served as chairman of the board of trustees for the BMA of Texas Department of Church Ministries, chairman of the board of trustees for the Association of Baptist Students at Stephen F. Austin State University, and as a member of the board of trustees for the Baptist Book Center. He has spoken in over 100 churches and preached numerous revivals and conferences.

Jerry's wife, Cassie, is an assistant elementary school principal in the Red Oak Independent School District. Jerry and Cassie have been married for 14 years.
